PostSubject: Suggestions for a paper trimmer   February 28th 2011, 13:01

I am in desperate need of a new one! I always like to see what everyone else is using and likes!

I currently use the little Fiskars one....cuts 12" paper but is only about 6" wide. I like it because it is compact and since my space is small, it works! But sometimes it doesn't cut really straight, even when using the arm that extends to keep the paper straight, so I think it's time for something new....

Any suggestions?

What a great question Sheri - I am in need of a new one too. I have the Making Memories one...and it's on its last leg!!

I wouldn't recommend the Making Memories paper trimmer. The finish is rubbing off on my paper and so the grid lines are disappearing. You can't push your paper up against the top edge to cut your paper. A purchase I regret.

I still go back to my Cutterpede. It's small, compact and lightweight. I know we talked trimmers once before. I'll see if I can cough up the old thread.

I had the same problem with my Making Memories trimmer. I bought an Exacto guillotine trimmer that does the job most of the time and then I use my purple fiskars for inside cuts.

Yup, the Making Memories one was a bust - I've continued using mine because it was $50 but I definitely wouldn't purchase it again!

I like guillotine trimmers! They just seem to cut straighter. I might have to try this one out!

Thanks for the suggestions.
