I have been soooo busy getting this house (and myself and business) organized....but, I could still use some tips!! How do YOU organize? Are there blogs you follow? A special method you use? This is my busiest photography season yet and I need organization SO bad. Seriously, the lack of it was keeping me from sleeping...so, if you have any awesome tips to share or blogs that you use, please share! Thanks girls!

I guess it really depends on what you need organized. I use the fly lady site to keep my house tidy daily. But as far as my craft room it's hit and miss and is constantly changing.

I just use my mother's motto:

"if it needs doing, do it."

so my house is sort of messy.

my biggest tip is don't be afraid to purge out stuff you like/love but know you'll probably never use.

another thing i do is have a written schedule for cleaning the house. i do that because it keeps me on track and relieves that overwhelming feeling i get if i'm looking at everything that needs done.

time organization is so hard - especially during photography shoots when the hrs of editing takes from anything else around. i still struggle with that.

What is fly lady??

Time management is always hard...I get sucked into things so easily - ADD much? lol!! Honestly, the more I purge the house of odds and ends and stuff we just don't use, the better I feel. It's amazing to me how quickly things collect....and before you know it you have a cabinet full or a junk drawer full!

I'm like that too Jaime. My motto is when I get to purging/organizing I clear out anything I have not missed within the past 3-6 months or longer. As far as files, we have a 4 drawer that we keep all our medical records, bills, statements, etc in that I will put up immediately instead of letting it pile on.

There are times the organization slips but that's when the good ol' purging comes in handy.

As far as cleaning the house - pffft. I gave up on my analness. I just can't keep up and i realized it was causing some unnecessary stress on my part. Now I just pick up a little daily instead of trying to do it all in one weekend/day.

If you find some good tips though - I'd love to hear some! I'm always open on improving my organization!

Purge, purge, purge! I do not have one bit of problem letting go of things I haven't used in a long time. I love to purge, you just feel so great afterwards! Speaking of which, I need to do some purging now!

LOVE flylady!!! I recommend her site all the time and her books are even better.

I've been doing some major purging of my scrappy supplies. I have WAY too much stuff! I'm in the process of moving my scrappy space from a large space downstairs to a smaller space on the main level of my house. I just didn't get anything done with all my supplies downstairs. I spend most of my time upstairs. I'm almost finished moving and I LOVE my little space. I've already gotten 4 layouts done and it's only been a few days. If I can just do a little bit here and there I get so much more done. Smile
