PostSubject: Biking   June 16th 2011, 00:33

one of my major passions is bike riding ... like in long bike festival bike riding events.
some people love to run, i love to bike.

i've been training for the upcoming "Flat 50" bike festival.
it's a win win situation ... i get to do something i love, and my doc is thrilled because back in january he gave me strict instructions to so something active to relieve stress. a win-win.

Good for you! When is the Flat 50? Sounds challenging, yet fun!

Good for you Carrie !!!!

Will Ed be doing it with you ? I know he loves to run or does he like biking too?
When Damien was young he was a huge Biker... recently he thought he could jump
back on it easily and than had to have friends pick him up cause he got so bad.

I know he wants to start riding more frequently but he just haven't found the time.

sherry, the Flat 50 is next Saturday, June 25. the longest i've rode in one day has been 40 miles, and that was challenging, so i'm a little nervous about it. i'm praying for decent, cooler weather that day.

Norma, yep, Ed is doing it with me ... so is our oldest son, Dan. Our youngest, college son would be doing it too, but he has a wedding to go to that day.

Ed is more of a biker than runner. He took up jogging last summer because he was training to do a triathlon, but he hasn't ran much since then .... he's had some ankle issues that he's been going to physical therapy for so he's not been able to jog at all for a couple months. He and Dan are going to do another Tri in september though, so he'll be {hopefully} doing more jogging.
