Our whole Neighborhood has one the last weekend in May. You would not believe how many people are out at 6:00am to yard sale. We usually do really good this year we hardly had anything but I threw it out there anyway and still made around 200.00 so that was good.

No. We live out in the country so we don't get the traffic that you would in town. I do a children's consignment sale twice a year and the rest of our stuff I donate. Books, videos and games I give to our library, it's small so they don't get a lot of funding. What they don't put in circulation goes to their book sale.

And they are A LOT of work!

Now ask me if I go to thrift sales... YES! Love my thrifting!

I used to have them quite often, but after my last one, I decided it wasn't worth it! Too much work and too many crazy people out there! lol

For example: At my last sale, I had an item priced under $2.00. A lady carried the item around forever and told me about her hardships, etc., so I gave it to her. Big deal, one less piece to donate. A few weeks later, she's parked in front of my house, I go out and ask her if she needs something. She proceeds to tell me that was one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for her - blah, blah, blah and she was acting really creepy. Luckily, I don't live there anymore!

I donate to a local charity here. I too live out in the country with not as much traffic.

Sherry that would give me the willies a bit too!
