It is Fightin' Phils time here in PA, baby!

We are off to the PHillies game this weekend!!!!!! And we are getting there early to tailgate. Any good recipes? We don't have a grill so we pretty much need to do non-warm stuff, unfortunately.

But I will take good grilled recipes, too b/c maybe I can convince Brain to get one

We always do pulled pork sandwhiches on game days. Cover a pork loin in the crockpot with a can of Rootbeer and let it cook all day. Shred it, add BBQ sauce and a bout 1/4 c more rootbeer and let it simmer in the crockpot until it's time to eat. Serve it on hamburger buns.
You could take it in your crockpot and it might stay warm for a while.
We also love a brick of cream cheese with a jar of salsa poured over it. Eat it with chips scooping a little of each in each bite-yum!

we're a baseball family too.
We have never tailgated-- I have no idea what I would take--we don't have a portable grill.
My thought would be
sub sandwiches cut up in 4" sections
brownies dusted with confectionery sugar
chips

Have you checked out kraftfoods.com. They have great recipes for tailgating and every day. I LOVE their recipes.
Have fun this weekend, Ellen.

I do like kraft foods I will check it out. I would invest in a grill but we don't have room. We pack the van with people and chairs, LOL!

Dria...are you a cleveland or cincinatti fan?

Cut up subs are a good idea. We do need some kid friendly stuff.

I went on Pinterest last night and found Pizza Rolls (in crescents) thinking those will be good cold, tortellinis with dipping sauce (made this before it's soooo good) and then homemade pretzel balls. Our kids looooove soft pretzels and I want to try and make my own.

CINCINNATI REDS! We still love our Yankees (we are originally from Western NY)

I buy little hotel and game packages for Tom and Ben and sometimes we all go.. LOVE baseball.

I like watching the soap opera going on between the pitcher and the catcher they are a trip to watch.

I used to think--omgosh how can you watch baseball..then I started paying attention (it was always on with my father son addiction)

I really want to go see them play the Phillies and see that new stadium. Maybe even see the Phils play the Mets there but that is hostel territory lol!

I grew up outside of Philly. Wanted to be the Philly Phanatic when I grew up! He just cracks me up. We are going to the game this Saturday and have been hinting to Brain to get my tix for my birthday b/c it's the Philly Phanatic's bday the end of the month.

I know, ppl think baseball is boring and I get that but not for us, we even tape the games we miss!
