I have the SD, but not the Cameo.

Did you ever contact customer support to see if they could tell you what was wrong with yours?? just curious-they have been very helpful for me in the past.

I have an SD. It is old but going strong. I bought mine at the beginning when they were almost $400 so I feel like I have to get my money's worth. According to my calculations I need to use it for at least 20 more years. Smile
I love it though-the Silhouette designs are endless and amazing!

I loved mine too but mine is even PRE sd... i think it was 2005 or 6! it was the very 1st release.
I actually worked with the Silhouette technical guy (Brian) figuring out why the computer wouldn't load anything if the Silhouette machine was attached.. it turned out that if you had an EPSON printer there was a "fatal error" that wouldn't allow the system to boot.. I was on the phone for many days and hours with him t was crazy! They gave me free download cards, free blade sets, free mats... lots of stuff for working with them with all the early trouble shooting--which they thought was done prior to release.
I was the one that finally isolated to fatal script in the boot menu that wouldn't let the computer boot into Windows!
